May 14 (UPI) -- Comedian Colin Quinn appeared on "The Wendy Williams Show" today and said that comedians are too scared to make jokes about President Obama.

"The only person who has made jokes about President Obama in the 5 years he has been in -- is President Obama. That’s how scared people are to make jokes, no late-night talk shows, only he makes them at the White House press conferences, telling people, 'Hey, it’s okay to joke about me. You see I’m doing it!'

People joke around the President. They’ll be like, hey you've heard the joke about President Obama? JOE BIDEN. Haha! And everybody one is like 'Whew! Close call!'"

The former "Saturday Night Live" cast member has made minor film and television appearances since the swift cancellation of both "The Colin Quinn Show" and "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn." His one-man show "Long Story Short" was directed by Jerry Seinfeld and performed on Broadway in 2010.
