The Huffington Post reports Sprauer had been modeling under a different name to keep that side of her life separate from her Martin County High School peers and students. She hoped she'd be able to do both things until the end of the year -- when she would leave her teaching job to pursue a master's degree -- but was busted before that.
"Lots of teachers get fired or asked to resign for the same things I did," Sprauer told the Huffington Post. "I knew I didn't want to come back next year and I knew I wanted to go to grad school so I decided if I made it to the end of the year I would be happy."
Sprauer, who only started modeling swim suits in February because she needed the money, said she was a good teacher and that she didn't feel like she did anything wrong.
"I don't make pornography. I don't open my legs on camera. I take swimsuit glamour style photography," she said.
The former 9th-grade English teacher plans to come back to the school to attend her students' graduation.
"I felt like it would have been nice for my students to finish out the year with me," Sprauer said. "They trusted me and they made me happy so that aspect of it was sad."
