Move over Uncle Ruslan. Step aside Paul Kevin Curtis.

Charles Ramsey has taken over as national hero -- and viral sensation -- for his role in rescuing two women missing in Ohio for nearly a decade.

Ramsey was interviewed by local television station WEWS after helping to rescue Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus from his neighbor's house after hearing screaming.

“I heard screaming, I’m eating my McDonalds, I come outside and I see this girl going nuts trying to get out of the house,” said Ramsey.

But Ramsey said he didn't realize who exactly he'd found until, while making the call to police, Berry's name sounded familiar.

"I knew something was wrong when a little pretty white girl ran into a black man's arms," he said. "Something was wrong here. Dead giveaway. Dead giveaway."

"I barbecue with this dude," Ramsey said. "We eat ribs and what not, listen to salsa music, you see where I'm coming from? Not a clue that that girl was in that house, or anybody else was in there against their will."

Versions of Ramsey's incredulous interview have been uploaded on YouTube hundreds of times, including the inevitable remix of his 911 call.
