CNN anchor Piers Morgan interviewed troubled actress Lindsay Lohan just weeks ahead of her court-ordered 90-day stint in rehab, which she started Friday at the Betty Ford Center near Palm Springs, Calif.

In the piece, published Saturday by the Daily Mail, Morgan describes Lohan as a "damaged, vulnerable young woman struggling to find normality in her often tormented life."

The 26-year-old "Liz & Dick" star opened up to Morgan about her drug use, telling him that she has only done cocaine a few times.

"Everyone thinks I’ve done it so many times. But I’ve only done it maybe four or five times in my life," she said, explaining that the drug reminds her of her father, Michael, who often abused cocaine and alcohol.

"I’ve never taken heroin either, never injected myself with anything, never done LSD. Those things all scare me," she added.

As for other drugs?

Pot, obviously. And ecstasy. I liked that better than the others (giggles). I didn’t drink on it, so I was just chilling. It’s something that a lot of people experience when they’re in college. I just should have known that being in the public eye, someone was bound to say something or try to make some money off it.

Lohan also said while it wouldn't "be a bad thing" to have time to herself for three months, she felt that previous stints in rehab served little purpose.

"I’ve been court-ordered to do it six times. I could write the book on rehab. Constantly sending me to rehab is pointless. The first few times I was court-ordered to rehab it was like a joke, like killing time," she said.

Lohan also called her relationship with ex girlfriend Samantha Ronson "toxic," and denied being bisexual.

When I was with Samantha (Ronson), I didn’t want to leave, because I didn’t want to be alone. It was very toxic. And her family controlled anything she did," said Lohan.

Lohan entered rehab on Friday amid reports that she had ditched treatment and headed for Los Angeles International Airport. But Santa Monica Chief Deputy City Attorney Terry White said that officials wouldn't be seeking an arrest warrent, as the 26-year-old had officially checked in to Betty Ford.
