May 3 (UPI) -- Mongiello Italian Cheese Specialties of Huleyville, N.Y. has issued a recall of 234 pounds of "fresh mozzarella with chorizo and cilantro" over a misbranding incident in which the company failed to list soy as one of the ingredients.

According to the Food Safety and Inspection Service, the products are being recalled because "of misbranding and an undeclared allergen, soy, which is not declared on the label."

The articles to be recalled are "8-oz. packages of "FORMAGGIO Authentic Hand Rolled Fresh Mozzarella with Chorizo & Cilantro" bearing the establishment number "EST. 34483" inside the USDA mark of inspection with "Use by Dates" prior to 5/31/2013."

The products were produced and packaged before March 28 and distributed in several stores in New York and New Jersey.
