At the end of the Celtics-Knicks game Friday, Celtics player Jordan Crawford got in an altercation with Carmelo Anthony, in which the two had to be pulled apart by teammates.
A Vine video shows him crudely referring to Anthony's wife, LaLa Vazquez.
Vazquez responded to him with a curt tweet.
But apparently, Crawford was referring to fellow Celtic Kevin Garnett. This isn't the first time Vazquez has been trash-talked through her husband, and this seems to be a follow-up to the fight between Garnett and Anthony in January.
"She always gets thrown into the mix of the Boston Celtics series... and she has the right to say what she wants to say," Anthony said.
New York City police officers were called to the scene when Anthony and Kevin Garnett got into an argument earlier this season, according to ESPN.
Knicks forward Anthony was still hot after a confrontation that resulted in his second technical foul of the game and he waited outside the Celtics' team bus, as seen in a video from Comcast SportsNet New England.
The IB Times says Garnett's trash talk was the source of the problem: The Celtics center allegedly compared Vazquez to Honey Nut Cheerios.
The Celtics and Knicks face off tonight in Game 6.
When asked about Crawford on Friday, Anthony told the Daily News, "That's nonsense to me. I don't pay attention to that. I told you the other day it wasn't worth typing that."
