"I saw him arresting my husband and I literally panicked," Reese Witherspoon told "Good Morning America" Thursday in an interview about her recent arrest. "I told him I was pregnant. I'm not pregnant. I said all kinds of crazy things."
Several hours later, TMZ obtained police video of the incident, in which the 37-year-old actress shouts those "crazy things" at the arresting officer, including "I'm an American citizen" and "I'm obstructing your justice, really?"
TMZ transcribed some of Witherspoon's tirade:
Reese: "I have done nothing against the law."
Officer: "Yes you did, you didn't obey my orders."
Reese: "I HAVE TO OBEY YOUR ORDERS??"
Here's more video of Witherspoon falsely telling the cop she was pregnant.
Witherspoon pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and will pay a $213 fine. Her film agent husband, Jim Toth, was sentenced to 12 months probation and community service on DUI charges and failing to maintain a lane.
