Though it's unclear when Elle conducted the interview, the 20-year-old starlet said it just felt "right" to commit to Hemsworth.
"We have a house together and dogs. It just seems right to be wearing this ring and to be committed," Cyrus explained, according to Us magazine.
"But, we keep our relationship low-key and don't talk about it anymore," she added, alluding to the media scrutiny that has prevented her from sharing as much personal information on social media.
We were too nice to the world and gave them too much insight -- into my life and my puppies and my house -- and I just don't feel they get that privilege any more. Like on my Twitter, I'm much more ... not conservative, but you don't see a picture of my dogs. You don't get that personal stuff any more.
Cyrus has made quiet, indirect references to her relationship with Hemsworth on Twitter since rumors about their break up began. In March she tweeted a photo of herself wearing her engagement ring. In April, the former Disney Channel star tweeted a pic of Hemsworth's appearance (sort of) on "Family Guy."
