Jenelle Evans the "Teen Mom 2" star was arrested in North Carolina Tuesday for possession of heroin and assaulting her husband, Courtland Rogers.

TMZ reports officials found 12 bindles (small packets) of heroin in Evans's house after they arrived in response to a domestic abuse call after the reality TV star allegedly hit her husband with a piece of furniture.

According to documents, Evans was also in possession of Percocet (a prescription painkiller), plastic rolling paper and a smoking pipe, which is considered illegal drug paraphernalia.

Evans was charged with possession of heroin and assault, while her husband -- who was also arrested-- was charged with possession of heroin with intent to manufacture, sell and distribute as well as drug paraphernalia.

Police said the couple denied possession of the heroin, which is why they were both charged.

At the time of the arrest, Evans was also served with a warrant for failing to pay child support.
