Will.i.am admits copyright infringement

April 23 (UPI) -- Trance DJ Arty accused Will.i.am and Chris Brown of ripping off one of his songs -- and it turns out, he was right.

Although Chris Brown at first categorically denied his new track, "Let's Go" was in the wrong, Arty and producer Mat Zo insisted he and Brown had ripped off their song "Rebound."

"I don't even know who mat zo Or arty is ... I don't listen to that s**t ..." Brown tweeted last week.

But Will.i.am rang up a Los Angeles radio station and admitted he used Arty's beat, but thought the appropriate licensing was in place.

"I'm a fan of Arty," Will.i.am told KIIS FM. "I think he's great and the world needs to know about how talented those guys are. It's sad that it's turned into a fiasco but hopefully it's resolved because I'm a fan of those guys to the point where I wrote to their instrumental."

Take a listen to both tracks:
