April 23 (UPI) -- Federal authorities are investigating another potential ricin attack at a military base in Washington, D.C., according to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

The Washington Post asked Reid about the release earlier today of a Mississippi man accused of sending ricin-laced letters to President Obama and Sen. Roger Wicker.

Reid said there was another "alleged ricin incident" at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling today.

He did not offer further details.

The man previously accused of sending the letters to President Obama and Wicker was released after authorities searched his house and found no trace of ricin.
