April 22 (UPI) -- Maret Tsarnaeva, the Boston bombing suspects' aunt, says she has received numerous threats since she came forward Friday claiming her nephews were innocent, CNews reported.

“They are calling us, calling names, threatening, saying it’s time to go home,” Tsarnaeva said Saturday. “Yes, it is time. We did not find that promise -- democracy -- in this country.”

However, Tsarnaeva -- who lives is Toronto, Canada -- said she was not leaving without her nephews.

“But if I go home, I will go home only with bodies of my nephews.”

After learning that her surviving nephew Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, had been captured and taken into custody by the FBI late Friday night, Tsarnaeva blamed the United States Government for involving her nephews in their "conspiracy."

“They made our boys enemies of the American nation,” she said. “They made them victims of the conspiracy.”

On Friday Tsarnaeva told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. in a telephone interview that her nephews could not be part of the "terrible , horrible act that was committed in the streets of Boston." She added that the FBI was incriminating them based on photos of them simply walking near the Marathon finish line on Monday.

"I know these two nephews -- smart boys, good boys -- they have no motive for that. They have no ideas to be going to this kind of act. It's just not the case, it cannot be true," she said.
