Vatican City IP addresses caught downloading porn

The Vatican is a small place, with only 800 residents, so illegal download activity is fairly low. But TorrentFreak reports that at least two IP addresses within the city-state have a taste for porn.

One resident of the Holy See downloaded a film starring transexual megastar Tiffany Starr. Other downloads included the work of porn stars Sheena Shaw, Lea Lexis and Krissy Lynn.

Other Vatican pirates seem to like American television shows including NBC's "Chicago Fire," ABC's "The Neighbors" and FX's spy drama "The Americans," and apparently don't view pirating as stealing.

TorrentFreak began their investigation into Vatican piracy after a report from the Limerick Leader in which DVD rental store owner Paul Flynn claimed the local priests were illegally downloading Oscar screening copies of films before their theatrical releases.

“A lovely man who loves his old films. Back in January, he mentioned he had watched Lincoln the night before. Maybe I’m naive and I asked had they shown it early in the cinema or something and he said, ‘No, we have a film club once a week and we watched it up at the monastery’. I said that’s only opening in the cinema today."

The priest also told him the monastery film club had seen "Django Unchained" and "Zero Dark Thirty" before their releases. "They don't see it as stealing," Flynn said.
