The Putnam Sheriff's Department sent two deputies to follow up on a report of a man screaming for help, the Herald Citizen reported Tuesday. When the pair arrived at the scene, they found a goat tied to a fence.
“I spoke to the owner, who stated that he was going to take care of the goat," Deputy Will Page said. "We then returned to the complainant and notified her that everything was OK.”
WSMV in Nashville said another goat's human-like call startled residents last year.
