April 2 (UPI) -- Angelina Jolie's latest humanitarian venture involves opening an all-girls school in Afghanistan.

E! News reports the "Maleficent" actress will use profits from her upcoming jewelry collection, The Style of Jolie, to fund a primary school just outside of Kabul -- a region that traditionally favors boys' education over girls'.

"Beyond enjoying the artistic satisfaction of designing these jewels, we are inspired by knowing our work is also serving the mutual goal of providing for children in need," Jolie told E! News.

Jolie allegedly chose the area due to its high refugee population. The school will educate 200 to 300 students.

Robert Procop, the actress' long-time jewelry designer, collaborated with her in the creation of the collection, which will give 100 percent of its profits to Jolie's new foundation, The Education Partnership for Children of Conflict.

"We launched this collaborative collection with the intent that 100 percent of the profits will go to charity," Procop said. "The intention was to create something beautiful but more importantly to provide children an opportunity to have an education."

The designer added that many of the jewels in the collection are based on a one-of-a kind necklace that has the shape of a historic tablet, which Jolie designed for her fiance, Brad Pitt.

According to E!, Jolie plans to use the charity to open many educational institutions in the future.

The Style of Jolie will go on sale sometime this week.
