March 26 (UPI) --
T-shirts are usually the cheapest part of anyone's wardrobe, so a blogger at The Awl
was shocked to discover a $91,500 price tag on a men's t-shirt at Hermes's Madison Avenue store in New York this weekend.
According to the Daily Mail, the t-shirt is part of the fashion house's Spring 2013 collection of chiffon crocodile shirts.
As The Awl's Choire Sicha pointed out, the sales tax on a $91,500 purchase is around $8000. But Hermes is in the business of selling ludicrously expensive clothes, having already peddled a $345 plain white t-shirt in 2011.
