Arianna Hill went to a Chili's restaurant in Midvale, Utah and ordered a cheeseburger with pickles and french fries. After the food came, she said she couldn't eat the cheeseburger because it was broken.
Older sister Anna MacLean told their server that Arianna is autistic, and didn't want to eat the "broken" burger because it was cut in half. MacLean said to just add the second burger to the bill, since the first one was cooked fine and it wasn't the restaurant's fault.
But instead of just taking the burger away, server Lauren apologized to Arianna for making a broken burger, and told her she'd be right back with a fixed one. Manager Bradley Cottermole even came and knelt down to apologize for the broken burger, and added some extra fries to the order.
When a new cheeseburger arrived -- in one piece -- Arianna said, “Oh thank you! You fixed my cheeseburger!” She then stared at the cheeseburger deep in thought, before saying "oh I missed you!" and covering the burger in kisses.
MacLean snapped a photo and showed it to the staff before posting it to Chili's Facebook page with a thank you note for the Midvale staff.
"I was so touched by this experience. Especially since I know people who have been asked to leave restaurants when their child with autism is being disruptive. I expected a few different things with this scenario based on past experiences, but I did not expect such kind and compassionate mannerisms from Lauren and Bradley."
