Kate Upton too busy for dateless teen?

Los Angeles high school student Jake Davidson got Kate Upton's attention after his video asking her to prom went viral last week. Davidson's prospects seemed hopeful when Upton tweeted that she'd "check her schedule," later surprising him with a phone call on the "Today" show.

But a People magazine report cast doubt on hopes that Upton would attend the event, scheduled for May.

"I'm not sure if I'll be able to go with him or not, due to my schedule," Upton told the magazine on Saturday. "I want to, but I just don't know if I can make it work. But I really appreciated being asked; it made me feel really great!"

But Upton called the video "cute" and "flattering," and offered up some advice for potential dates.

"When a guy has a good sense of humor and confidence, that's attractive," she said.

While the New York Post felt Upton's comments amounted to a refusal, her rep told USA Today that she's still working on her schedule.
