Hollywood sure loves Seth Rogen.

The goofy funnyman has signed on to the Columbia Pictures-backed "The Interview" about a talk show host and his producer who get involved in a plot to assassinate the prime minister of North Korea.

Rogen is set to direct, produce and star in the film as the talk show producer, and is reportedly eyeing James Franco to play the show's host.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the studio is eager to have Rogen directing again, even though his debut, "This Is The End," doesn't hit theaters until June.

Rogen co-wrote the screenplay for "The Interview" with collaborator Evan Goldberg, who would also produce and direct. The pair, along with "The Daily Show" writer Dan Sterling, penned the story.
