Barack Obama had to forgo his helicopter ride to the Palestinian-run Bethlehem when a nasty sandstorm got in the way, Haaretz reported Friday.
Though the day started off with clear skies and a heat wave, severe winds and a sandstorm swept through Jerusalem and Bethlehem, grounding the president's planned helicopter ride and forcing his entourage to opt for a motorcade through the streets of Jerusalem.
The New York Post reported that the motorcade "barely moved" at certain points along the journey.
The weather-related interruption comes just two days after the presidential limousine, known as "The Beast," broke down when someone accidentally filled it with diesel instead of gasoline.
