Arnold Palmer lands dinner date with Kate Upton

Kate Upton's social calendar seems pretty busy these days. She recently told a Los Angeles teen that she'd think about going to prom with him -- once she checked her schedule -- but legendary golfer Arnold Palmer had no trouble getting the 20-year-old Sports Illustrated cover model to have dinner with him at Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando this week.

No, it's not a date. The 83-year-old Palmer is reportedly friends with the father of Upton's manager, Lisa Benson.

According to Fox Sports, Palmer showed his friend and fellow golfer, Dow Finsterwald, a copy of Upton's Sports Illustrated, and said, "Look who's going to be here."

Upton's parents are fans of the pro golfer, and Upton wanted to discuss plans for her to get involved with Palmer's charitable efforts and a commercial campaign for his popular tea drink.

"No offense, Arnold, but I think she's going to sell a lot more tea than you," Finsterwarld reportedly remarked.
