Maui flight diverted over maintenance issue

According to Hawaii News Now, US Airways' Flight 31 departed Maui at 10:25 p.m. and landed safely under its own power in Honolulu at 2:01 a.m.

The plane was inspected and is waiting on repairs. No details have emerged as to what the exact problem was.

The 153 passengers and 6 crew members arrived safely in Honolulu. Some flew out Monday night, while the rest stayed in provided hotel rooms and boarded a scheduled flight on Tuesday.
