Chelsea Clinton buys $10.5 million New York apartment

The New York Post reports that the former first daughter and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, signed a contract for the apartment at The Whitman last month.

Last week, ex-President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton toured the apartment, posing for photographs with the construction crew working at the building.

Chelsea, 33, and Marc, 35, will get four bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, home office and media room for $10.5 million. The Whitman is five stories with one apartment on each floor, a gym, and a key-locked elevator. "It’s great for them, because it is in a hot neighborhood and it is very private," a source told the Post. "There aren’t hundreds of neighbors, and there is great security.”
