Former Alaska governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has a new book deal with HarperCollins, according to a release from the publisher.

"A Happy Holiday IS a Merry Christmas" will take on the "over-commercialism" and "homogenization" of the holiday and advocate "reserving Jesus Christ in Christmas — whether in public displays, school concerts or pageants," according to HarperCollins.

From Sarah Palin's statement on her upcoming book:

"Amidst the fragility of this politically correct era, it is imperative that we stand up for our beliefs before the element of faith in a glorious and traditional holiday like Christmas is marginalized and ignored. This will be a fun, festive, thought provoking book, which will encourage all to see what is possible when we unite in defense of our faith and ignore the politically correct Scrooges who would rather take Christ out of Christmas."

Palin has published two books, one called “Going Rogue,” about her time as the GOP’s vice presidential nominee in 2008, and the other called “America by Heart," both through HarperCollins.

"A Happy Holiday IS a Merry Christmas" is scheduled to be released in November this year, just in time for the holiday shopping season.
