All six teens, students at South Ripley High School, had been attending a Future Farmers of America breakfast at a church in Versailles, Indiana, a town of about 2,000 people.

Bowman, driving a Ford F-250, and Crawford, driving a Dodge Ram, collided after they both ran stop signs at a four-way intersection at about 9:45 a.m.

The Dodge hit the side of the Ford, sending both trucks about 100 feet into a cornfield.

Cumberworth, with hand injuries, and Adkinson, whose injuries were unknown, were taken to Margaret Mary Hospital in nearby Batesville. Crawford was treated for chest injuries at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The teens were scheduled to be at the FFA event all day and were not supposed to have left.
