Charlie Sheen is talking about Lindsay Lohan again, this time offering advice from one troubled star to another.

"I have a kinship with somebody [Lindsay] who clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not," Sheen told TMZ. "She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey."

Lohan, 26, has been in and out of court rooms, jail and rehab since 2006 for a slew of problems related to drug and alcohol abuse, theft and breaking probation.

Sheen made headlines of his own with an epic and very public meltdown in 2011, resulting in his firing from the TV show Two and a Half Men, following charges he had assaulted his wife and dropped out of a stint in rehab for cocaine and alcohol use.

In recent months, Sheen has positioned himself as something of a mentor for Lohan, even cutting a check for $100,000 after the IRS seized her bank accounts when she failed to pay more than $200,000 in taxes.
