Raffaello Follieri, more commonly known as Anne Hathaway's fraudster ex-boyfriend, is reportedly planning to petition President Obama for a pardon so he can return the United States.

Follieri, who is Italian, served four years in federal prison for defrauding investors out of millions of dollars. He is now out of prison and living in London, the New York Post reported, and barred from reentering the United States.

"He misses America, and when he gets enough money he wants to lobby for a presidential pardon,” a source, who was close to Follieri and Hathaway before the 2008 arrest and romantic spit, told the Post. "He must be dying that he’s missing the limelight."

”He claims to be purchasing an energy company in Switzerland," the source continued, "He’s having a hard time getting cash. He can’t figure out why, duh.”

Hathaway and Follieri dated from 2004 to 2008. The actress is now married to Adam Shulman, whom she met shortly after Follieri was imprisoned.
