The Guardian has obtained harrowing footage of Tuesday's hot air balloon crash in Egypt, taken by a passenger on a nearby balloon.

According to the other balloon's pilot, Mohamed Youssef, his customer shot the video after the nearby balloon caught fire. He described the scene to The Guardian:

The fire started and after that the pilot jumped because the fire was on his body. Another customer near the edge of the balloon jumped. After the two jumped the balloon rose as a result of the two people jumping and [as a result] of the heat [rising into the balloon].

Nineteen tourists died in the crash after a gas explosion sent the balloon plummeting to the ground.

Egyptian television station Youm 7 captured video of the scene on the ground after the crash.
