With just a few months before the release of Iron Man 3 fans of Marvel's Robert Downey Jr.-fronted franchise are on the lookout for even the tiniest clue to the movie's plot--and someone found what may be a big one.

An enterprising Tumblr user spotted a new poster in theaters and posted a photo online. As the image spread, Yahoo movies got hold of an official, high resolution version.

The poster shows a rough-looking Tony Stark surrounded by at least seven more of his suits--apparently turned against him. Rumors of Stark having built himself an army of 40 Iron Man suits, only to see them turn against him, have already surfaced, and the new image seems to point that direction.

A new trailer is due out March 5.

Iron Man 3, starring Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce and Ben Kingsley, hits theaters May 3.
