Mira Sorvino will star opposite stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan in this autobiographical CBS comedy pilot, Deadline reported Thursday.

Sorvino's character will bear the same name as Gaffigan's real-life spouse, Jeannie, described as a "super-wife and super-mom." In the traditional sitcom mold, Sorvino's character will have to raise five kids, as well as her man-child husband, Jim.

Sorvino has taken on comedic roles before, in "Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion" and "Mighty Aphrodite," for which she won an Oscar.

Gaffigan's stand-up often revolves around his family life and eating habits, especially his relationship to Hot Pockets.
