World's first car backflip [VIDEO]

French Rally driver Guerlain Chicherit performed the world's first backflip in a car.

The 34-year-old drove a modified Rally Spec Mini Countryman up a specially built 8-meter ramp at the right speed to rotate the vehicle fully backward before landing back on the snow in the mountains of Tignes, France.

MINI and Monster Energy partnered to sponsor the jump, which will most likely be used in a commercial for the energy drink to rival similar stunt commercials released by competitor Red Bull. Driver Chicherit is a four-time world freestyle skiing champion, has won the French rally championship twice, and was on the X-raid Team that won the 2012 and 2013 Dakar Rally championships.
