In a Skype interview with "Rachel Ray" scheduled to air Wednesday, Michelle Obama finally discussed what the president called the "most significant event" of inauguration weekend. Her bangs.
The 49-year-old first lady joked that a looming mid-life crisis inspired her much-discussed fringe.
"This is my midlife crisis, the bangs," Obama explained. "I couldn't get a sports car. They won't let me bungee-jump. So instead, I cut my bangs."
FLOTUS debuted the bangs on her birthday in January, just days ahead of the inauguration, in a photo posted to her new twitter account.

Karl Lagerfeld, who's not a fan of anything, called the first lady's fringe "a bad idea," but at least the president appreciated his wife's flirty new look.
"First of all, I love Michelle Obama," the president said after the inauguration last month. "And to address the most significant event of this weekend, I love her bangs."
