Just when we thought Rihanna and Chris Brown had overcome their controversial past, rumors of trouble in paradise arose after the pair arrived separately to Thursday night's party at Hollywood club Playhouse.

According to UsWeekly the singers were "not at all on speaking terms" at the nightclub and even sat apart from each other.

"She refused to sit with or even near him," a witness told UsMagazine. "When she noticed he was there, she made a huge show of rubbing her presence in his face."

The news comes as a surprise to anyone who saw the couple being extra lovey-dovey at the Grammys on Sunday. Especially because it was Valentine's day, and we know someone sent Rihanna a special bouquet.

Earlier on Thursday, the "Stay" singer tweeted a valentines message to her 28 million followers.

"Happy Valentines Day. Today the day fa lovin not hatin so to cats like you and I it's just another day...," she wrote.
