Four University of Alabama football players were arrested on charges of second-degree robbery on Monday.
Linebacker Tyler Hayes and defensive lineman D.J. Pettway were charged with second-degree robbery while defensive back Eddie Williams and running back Brent Calloway were charged with second-degree robbery and fraudulent use of a credit card, Yahoo Sports reported.
Williams and Hayes confessed to punching a student's head and face and kicking him in the ribs and back area and to stealing the student's backpack which contained an Apple laptop, Tuscaloosa News reported.
In a second robbery, Williams admitted to police that he punched a student in the face while Pettway and Hayes watched. He also admitted to stealing the student's wallet which contained cash and credit cards and to using the student's ID to purchase snacks at a vending machine.
Brent Calloway was charged with fraudulent use of credit card after he admitted to using the stolen ID to buy snacks.
Nick Saban, UA's coach, said the players were suspended indefinitely as they continue to gather information.
