Joe Alleman is the second unofficial spokesman of the Heart Attack Grill in downtown Las Vegas to die of an apparent heart attack. He was known for eating at the restaurant every single day and encouraging passers-by to come in for a burger. "He never missed a day, even on Christmas," restaurant owner Jon Basso said.

Alleman suffered a heart attack last week and collapsed at the bus stop in front of the restaurant, located inside the Neonopolis on Las Vegas Boulevard. Alleman was taken off life support shortly after 1 p.m. on Monday, said Basso. He was 52, and both his parents had died of heart attacks in their fifties as well, according to Basso.

In March 2011, Blair River died of flu-related pneumonia. The 575-pound spokesman known as "The Gentle Giant" was 29. Alleman weighed only about 180 pounds, but ate Bypass Burgers and Flatliner Fries every day, despite his family heart history. "He lived a very full life," said Basso. "He will be missed."

On April 13, 2012, Guinness World Records presented the Heart Attack Grill with an official award for "Most calorific burger." The record winner was the 3lb 2.94oz Quadruple Bypass Burger, "packing 9,982 calories. It's 6.91 calories per gram (195.95 calories per ounce) makes it the world's most calorific burger as verified by Guinness World Records."
