At a press conference, the LAPD denied reports that the body of alleged cop killer, ex-policeman Christopher Dorner had been recovered from the burned cabin.

Commander Andrew Smith of the Los Angeles Police Department said that the cabin was still too hot for San Bernadino sheriff's investigators to enter and search for a body. He added that, until Dorner was either positively identified as deceased or arrested, the police would continue to follow leads in the ongoing manhunt.

Cincy Bachman, a spokeswoman for San Bernadino Sheriff's Department, added that police believe that Dorner is still inside the cabin, but reiterated that no one had been inside the premises to begin to identify him.
