Retired rapper Lil Wayne has accused the Miami Heat of ejecting him from a game Sunday for rooting for their opponent, the Los Angeles Lakers.

"Would u believe they got police 2 make me leave?!" Weezy tweeted Sunday.

But the Heat issued a statement saying that the New Orleans native left of his own accord.

"In response to your inquiry, please note that Lil Wayne was not ejected from the building. He chose to leave," a Miami Heat rep told TMZ.

Danny Vega, a fan in the audience, tweeted that the rapper had started a verbal altercation with another fan, according to USA Today.

"Random guy yelled at Lil Wayne at #MiamiHEAT game, Weezy looked back, gave him a mean stare & gestured he had a gun."

It wouldn't be the first time Lil Wayne has found trouble at a sporting event. According to E! Online, he blew up at a cameraman earlier this month after losing a flag football game at a Super Bowl party.
