"Saturday Night Live" spoofed the confirmation hearings for President Obama's nominee for secretary of defense, Chuck Hagel (played here by Jason Sudeikis). This sketch was performed at Saturday's dress rehearsal but was ultimately cut from the show.

In the "SNL" parody, Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham balk at Hagel's record of statements about the Middle East. McCain even asks Hagel the extent of his devotion to the Jewish state, in very saucy terms, which led to several cast members breaking character. At least it was just a dress rehearsal.
