Anonymous leaks bank data of more than 4,000 bank executives as part of 'Operation Last Resort'

While all of America was busy watching Beyonce own the Super Bowl, the group of hackers dubbed Anonymous pulled yet another attack on the United States government.

On Sunday night, the hacktivist group published log in and private information to over 4,000 American bank executives accounts on the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center website, ZDNet reported. The files included numbers, usernames, titles, email addresses, passwords and other details. The information was allegedly obtained from computers belonging to the Federal Reserve.

Anonymous broke the news via twitter, "Now we have your attention America: Anonymous's Superbowl Commercial 4k banker dox via the FED, #opLastResort #Anonymous" they wrote.

According to BGR, the attack was a response to the suicide of American computer programmer, Aaron Swartz through an initiative titled Operation Last Resort, which demands a reform in the computer crime laws in the U.S.

The leaked data attack was the second advance of Operation Last Resort. On Jan. 25, the group hacked the U.S. Sentencing Commission website (ussc.gov) and posted a video on their site explaining the causes and demands of 'Operation Last Resort.' In addition, they momentarily turned the federal site into a file distribution hub.
