Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are expecting their second child, the New York Post reported.

The rumors about Cruz's pregnancy began recently as she was spotted with a "fuller figure," but now, a source close the couple has confirmed the news to Us Weekly.

Cruz gave birth to her first child with Bardem, Leo Encinas Bardem, in January 2011 at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

On becoming a mother, the actress has said "is a revolutionary experience."

"It transforms you completely, in a second. Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment, when you see that face, you are transformed forever," she told Vogue in June 2011.

This is the second time the Spanish beauty makes headlines this week, the first one was yesterday when the news of her sexy cameo in Miguel Bose's music video went viral.
