"Any questions?" Beyoncé asked after belting out "The Star-Spangled" banner at a pre-Super Bowl press conference Thursday.

Beyoncé gave a beautiful performance of the National Anthem at Barack Obama's inauguration last month, but news that the 31-year-old music icon lip-synced the song devastated fans and inflamed haters.

Beyoncé, who will perform at the Super Bowl's halftime show this Sunday, finally addressed the lip-sync scandal at the Feb. 1 event.

"Due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking the risk," Beyonce told reporters at the presser. "I decided to sing along with my pre-recorded track, which is very common in the music industry. And I’m very proud of my performance," she added.

"I am absolutely singing live,” she said. “This is what I was born to do, what I was born for."

The songstress previewed her Super Bowl halftime show in a video clip earlier Thursday.
