Oprah celebrated her 59th birthday from bed after she injured her back for lifting a heavy flower arrangement Tyler Perry sent her on her special day.

The OWN talk show host shared the news while responding to a fan's tweet on Wednesday.

"In bed with an ice pack most of today. Moved a bushel of roses sent by @tylerperry and sprained a back muscle #birthdaylove," she wrote.

But the TV host made a quick recovery as she was back on feet the day after the incident. She even shared a photo of herself surrounded by all the flower arrangements she received. (We are unsure if the roses in the picture were the ones that caused the injury, but they sure are pretty.)

Perry, a long-time friend of Oprah's, apologized via Facebook and Twitter.

"I feel so bad," he tweeted, linking to a Facebook page where he explained the situation to his fans and proclaimed that next year he'll be sending "one rose" for the host's birthday. She responded saying there was no need for that, since she had found the incident's silver lining.

"No need to feel bad, love the roses and got an extra day in bed. Can you say #icepack," Oprah tweeted.
