Grover took over Sesame Street's Twitter feed Wednesday to warn followers about the monster at the end of the Twitter conversation.

A play on the classic children's story "The Monster at the End of This Book," Grover insisted that followers not retweet his tweets. They did, of course, and Grover continued begging them not to for fear of the monster at the end of the Twitter conversation.

A frenzy of fans and followers retweeted Grover's quips and gave shout-outs to their favorite Sesame Street monsters. Former child star Wil Wheaton got especially excited about his Twitter conversation with Grover.

Twitter is still safe for now. The monster at the end was just furry, lovable old Grover.
