Amy Poehler's upcoming book was described by publisher It Books as “an illustrated, nonlinear diary full of humor and honesty and brimming with true stories, fictional anecdotes and life lessons,” THR reported Monday.

While some agree that the decision to write a book came at the perfect time for Poehler to be included in the list of 'celebrities who penned books after divorce'. It Books has said that the stars' "original twist on the conventional memoir will have universal appeal."

Whatever the motives that prompted Poehler's debut as an author, It Books Executive Editor Carrie Thornton seems pretty excited to be working with her.

"Amy’s intelligence, comedic genius, and care for her craft shines through everything she does, and I know that this book will be no exception. To have the chance to work with an artist of this caliber is every editor’s great hope, and I can’t wait to see how this book evolves,” Thornton said in a statement.

The 41 year old TV star is set to publish her non-linear-diary via Harper Collins in the fall of 2014, CNN reported.
