Lena Dunham on the 'Daily Show': There are some 58-year-olds who wish me dead [VIDEO]

By KATE STANTON, UPI.com

Like many young, successful female celebrities before her, 26-year-old "Girls" scribe and star Lena Dunham has amassed a vocal hoard of Internet haters who find her brand of sarcastic, upper middle-class Millennial humor grating and insincere.

When "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart asked her about what it was like to deal with negativity and success at such a young age, Dunham quipped, "You definitely do get the sense that there are some 58-year-olds who wish you dead."

So does she ever read the stuff that's written about her?

"My sort of token line is 'I don’t read anything,'" Dunham confessed. "But if I’m being honest I read a quarter of things. So I read what I can find. I read like the top three items in Google news."

Dunham and Stewart also gleefully conspired to make NBC News anchor as uncomfortable as possible by writing crazier sex scenes for his daughter and "Girls" actress, Allison Williams.
