At 91 years old, Betty White is still doing things better than the rest of us.

After decades in Hollywood and a recent career resurgence, the ageless, effervescent White celebrated her 91st birthday Thursday by asking fans to donate to the Morris Animal foundation.

"Animals are near and dear to my heart, and I've devoted my life to trying to improve their lives," White wrote in a blog for the Huffington Post.

"Since a girl like me already has more than I could hope for, I'm asking fellow animal lovers for a special birthday gift this year. To help celebrate my 91st birthday on January 17, please help me raise $10,000 for Morris Animal Foundation."

As an early birthday gift, the Lifeline Program (White is a spokesperson) presented the actress with a red-tailed boa constrictor named Jacob from the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens, People reported Thursday.

This isn't the first time White and "Jacob" have hung out. The two starred together in Betty White's "I'm Still Hot," another project intended to benefit the Los Angeles Zoo.

Happy birthday, Betty!
