Instead, it took her 900 miles over two days to realize she'd overshot her destination--by more than 800 miles.
Moreau, who started her trip in her hometown of Hainault Erquelinnes, Belgium, was headed to pick up a friend at a train station in Brussels, just 93 miles away, reported Gizmodo.
She turned on her GPS (and turned off her brain) and, after more than two days, several tanks of gas, a nap and minor car crash, ended up in Zagreb, Croatia.
"I was distracted, so I kept driving," Moreau, 67, told El Mundo. "I saw all kinds of traffic signs, first in French, then German and finally in Croatian, but I kept driving because I was distracted. Suddenly I appeared in Zagreb and I realized I wasn't in Belgium anymore."
