Following the release of the Academy Award's Oscar nominations Wednesday night, several disappointed fans and media outlets have voice their discontent about some contenders being snubbed on Twitter. Ben Affleck's non-nomination for Argo's direction was at the top of the list.

The outrage on the snub has affected fans in different ways. While some are blatantly discontent with the Academy's decision,

Some understand that Affleck is actually being punished by the ghost of movies past.

And though some think Affleck is simply lending his well-deserved nomination to other directors,

Some believe the Academy should take one of the Argo's famous lines very personally.

Either way, like other people pointed out, the non-nomination doesn't mean that Affleck won't win the big prize at the end of the night.
