When a Sweden's TV4 News anchor was giving a morning report on Syrian president Bashar al-Assad on Monday, things took an unexpected turn for the erotic after a pornographic film began playing in the background.

The porno played for about 10 minutes before the staff realized what was happening, but not before viewers did and recorded the incident for posterity, The Local news website reported.

"At first I realized I was looking at a naked woman, and it quickly became clear she was having sex," one viewer told The Local news website. Adding, "The image wasn't exactly in focus, but it wasn't hard to figure out what was going on."

TV4 news editor, Andreas Hanglid admitted an adult film had been shown on live television and suggested the mishap occurred because of a server link among other channels operated by TV4-owned C More Entertainment.
