Seven-year-old Millie Flamm was hoping to see Justin Bieber in concert on Saturday night in Salt Lake City, but was forced to sell her tickets when she faced a setback in her 3-year battle with leukemia.

Since she couldn't come to see him, Millie's friends and family launched an online campaign for the star to come to see her--and it worked.

Bieber visited Millie's hospital room in Salt Lake Saturday morning before his show, where he sang his "Baby" for the sick girl and gave her his guitar pick.

"All of a sudden it pulled through and we were able to do a really intimate little meeting with just her and us and Justin and it was incredible and he was so sweet to her," Amanda Flamm, Millie's mother, told the Deseret News. "He walked in and her whole face just lit up, and she turned around and hugged her dad, and then he ran over and came next to her and gave her a big hug."

Before he left, Bieber gave Millie a kiss on the cheek, after which the little girl told her mom "you are never going to wash my face again!"

The singer tweeted a photo of himself with Millie to his followers, with the caption: "Look at this budnle of joy.. I love her."

Bieber is coming off a tough week, after a paparazzo was killed taking photographs of his car and Bieber was photographed allegedly smoking pot. But even as the most cynical who might label Bieber's visit with Millie as a publicity stunt, for the Flamm family, it hardly matters.

"[His visit] just has re-energized all of us," Amanda Flamm said. "We are ready to keep going and fight harder with all this backing and this fun thing that has happened today, and keep going and keep fighting."
